Sold Into Egypt

“And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come closer to me.” And they approached him. And he said, “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. Now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me ahead of you to save life and preserve our family.” – GENESIS‬ ‭45:4-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Do you know that most often, God allows certain tragedies, difficulties and trials to come into our lives to mold us and prepare us for an ultimate rescue that would save millions of lives and preserve even our own family line?

I was reading the story of Joseph the other day and I was just utterly amazed at how God orchestrated his life – no matter how tragic it was in the beginning – to bring about a higher purpose.

Had Joseph given up his faith the moment he was sold into slavery by his own brothers, or during the time that he was falsely accused of a crime he did not even commit or during the time in prison where the cupbearer who promised to help him get out of prison had forgotten about his promise, then he wouldn’t have risen to his position as the second in command to the Pharaoh, which then saved millions of lives and preserving his family lineage. His family was very important to be kept alive because it was in his lineage God has promised that the Messiah, Jesus Christ would come.

So, my dear ones, if you are in a difficult trial at the moment, don’t throw in the towel in the middle of the intense battle. Trust in God. Hold on to your faith. He’s got you. He is bringing about something in you that is going to impact not just your life but lives of many including future generations after you. Remember, He’s got your name written in the palm of His hands. Even your time is in His hands. He knows and He cares about you.

God bless! 😇

    Betrayal is always up close and personal by those you trust be it family or friend. David describes this well.

    Psa 55:12 — Psa 55:13 (NKJV Strong’s,)

    For it is not an enemy who reproaches me;
    Then I could bear it.
    Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me;
    Then I could hide from him.
    But it was you, a man my equal,
    My companion and my acquaintance.

      And that’s why it is most painful and the hardest to forgive.

        Indeed. And it is one of Satan’s best tools for taking out a believer.
