Embracing Change

This world needs fearless leaders, ones who are unafraid of change and will even embrace it.

Thing is, the degree to which you are willing to change is the degree to which you’ll grow. And growth, in turn, will help you reach your God-given potential. Growth allows you to enter into a whole new level of living and leading well!

So how can you recognize growth in yourself? Here are some reliable indicators:

  • You know you’ve grown when you can bless those who curse you.
  • You know you’ve grown when you no longer allow people to steal your joy.
  • You know you’ve grown when you realize God opens doors no man can shut.
  • You know you’ve grown when you can keep your peace in the midst of chaos.
  • You know you’ve grown when you can forgive more quickly than you take offense.
  • You know you’ve grown when serving is no longer a means to an end, but the goal itself.
  • You know you’ve grown when you can receive correction with gratitude and not defensiveness.
  • You know you’ve grown when you start living your own life and stop commenting on everybody else’s.
  • You know you’ve grown when you remain faithful to the thing God has called you to do, even when others aren’t faithful to you.

1 Corinthians 14:20 tells us, “Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regards to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.” No matter your age, you’re never too old or too young to grow up.

I want to encourage you today to embrace change, so that you can grow into the person God would love for you to become!
