He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, ” Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” – Revelation 21:5
Isaiah 43:18-19, 20-21
“This is what the Lord says —
18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. 20 The wild animals honour me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, 21 the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.
When God wants us to do:
1. Forget what is behind us.
Psalm 103:12 – “… As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions.”
What do we need to bury?
- sins of the past
- sufferings of our past
What do we need to carry?
- Word of God
- Work among His people
- Work among others
2. Face what is before us.
3. Foresee what is beyond us.
