The Year of Restoration

IMG_1807

As I have mentioned in my previous post, our church just had a 5-day Annual Prayer and Fasting and we broke our fast last night. It was a great opportunity for us, as one Body of Christ to seek the Lord for His will and actually hear from Him to get more wisdom, fresh vision and new revelation.

Each day we got to pray for different prayer focuses such as: our ministries, missions, nations, the youth and the church. And of course, each individual also get the chance to pray for his or her own personal goals for this year. As I lift my own prayers to the Lord and read His word, a few promises jumped right at me. And since I value His Word in my heart more than anything – more than gold or any precious jewel – I am posting them here as a sweet reminder – as I have this tendency to forget especially when times get a bit tough, then I would start questioning God again. So anyway, just so I have something to hold on to, I’m keeping them here for my record:

“…so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭11‬ NIV)

β€œ’This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’ (Ezekiel‬ ‭12‬:‭28‬ NIV)

β€œI will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.” (Joel 2:25, NIV)

Looks like this year is going to be a year of God’s restoration and fulfilment of promises! Oh I should get ready to be swept off my feet! Bring it on!! πŸ™‚
