Life Without a Purpose

purpose

I have been meditating on this new daily devotion which I have just started reading. The book is called, ‘The Kingdom Principles’, written by a bestselling author, Dr. Myles Munroe. It’s always great to be reminded of my personal calling. I can’t deny that over the past few days I have been a little more excited to write especially from reading other people’s blog – you know, people who share the same passion, interests and gifts. It makes me come alive. It’s as if my purpose in life got clearer somehow.

Indeed, life without a purpose is tragedy in itself far greater than death. And I don’t want to live my life not knowing the purpose of Β my very existence. Rather, I would like to live this life with meaning, knowing I have made a difference in the lives of the people who are not just close to me biologically, emotionally or physically but also those who are far off, even if I would never get the chance to meet them or even know their names.

This space is a blessing. This gift is a great tool to do that. I don’t want to die with regrets knowing that I did not do my best nor used the tools available in my hand. I want a full and abundant life – a life served its purpose.

So my prayer is that I may always have the wisdom to impart to those who need it the most and that I may also be surrounded with people who share the same aspirations. Life is short and we have a legacy to leave behind.
